We do not haul trash; we sit between clients and haulers to audit invoices, optimize contracts, right-size service, centralize billing, and manage service issues. Our work is built around cost predictability, operational clarity, and strong execution.
The Role (What You’ll Do)
The Service Optimization Analyst will be focused on optimizing our clients’ waste and recycling services. They will be responsible for proactively and reactively analyzing how each client is set up today, and identifying opportunities to improve service efficiency, reduce issues, and create better overall outcomes.
This role is highly analytical and operational. You will look closely at how services are used and recommend changes to improve performance across the board.
Key Responsibilities
Service Analysis & Optimization
- Analyze current service setups, including container counts, sizes, and pickup frequency
- Evaluate actual usage patterns, including overflow activity, overages, and contamination charges
- Identify opportunities to improve service configurations (e.g., adding/removing containers, adjusting frequency)
- Recommend changes that lead to more efficient and effective service for each client
Proactive & Reactive Review
- Continuously monitor accounts for inefficiencies or recurring issues
- Flag properties with high levels of overages, contamination, or service inconsistencies
- Respond to internal or client-triggered issues by diagnosing root causes and proposing solutions
- Ensure service setups evolve as client needs change over time
Vendor & Service Coordination
- Work with customers and vendors to adjust service levels, container setups, and service schedules
- Ensure recommended changes are implemented accurately and in a timely manner
- Track the impact of changes and refine recommendations as needed
Data & Reporting
- Track key service metrics such as overages, contamination charges, and service adjustments
- Build and maintain simple dashboards or reporting to monitor trends across the portfolio
- Provide clear, actionable insights to internal teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Service, Account Management, and Billing teams to identify and implement improvements
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in operations, analytics, logistics, or a similar role
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to spot patterns and inefficiencies
- Comfortable working with data in Excel or Google Sheets
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving approach
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, in-office environment
